Future Real Madrid starlet Endrick Felipe is set for a big summer, but after injury forced him off on Wednesday night, his plans have been thrown into doubt.

As recounted by Diario AS, Endrick went down just past the hour mark against Sao Paulo in a 2-1 win for Palmeiras. He appeared to injure his right leg without anyone else involved in the incident, and limped to the ground, before being stretchered off. The suggestion is a potential muscle tear.

They say he could be out for two to three weeks, although any longer than that will see his participation in the Copa America placed into doubt. The 17-year-old will join Real Madrid on the 21st of July when he turns 18 following the tournament in the USA, having been named in the Brazil squad. Further tests will be taken on Thursday. It could well mean that it was the last game he plays for Palmeiras too.

After an excellent showing and goal with Brazil at the Santiago Bernabeu in March, there is plenty of excitement to see the teen sensation in the Spanish capital. With his season starting in January though, it would be no surprise to see Carlo Ancelotti take things slowly with him.
